These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Memoora's services. By creating an account or using Memoora, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Memoora provides an AI-guided phone call service that records conversations between an AI guide ("Lila") and a storyteller, and delivers audio recordings, transcripts, and written narratives to an account holder ("you"). The service is designed for personal, family use.
You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
By providing a phone number for the storyteller, you represent that you have the authorization and consent of that person to receive calls from our AI service. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from the storyteller.
By using Memoora, you acknowledge that conversations between Lila and the storyteller will be recorded. You represent that you have obtained all necessary consents for recording from the storyteller, and that such recording complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. Some states and provinces require all parties to a call to consent to recording. You are solely responsible for compliance with applicable wiretapping, recording, and privacy laws.
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. No charge is made during the trial period. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends without incurring any charge. After the trial, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable monthly or annual rate.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are displayed at signup and may change with 30 days' notice. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Memoora to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single charge for the full year at a discounted rate.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then.
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of your paid subscription, contact us at support@memoora.com for a full refund.
You agree not to use Memoora to:
You own the content of the recordings and transcripts generated from your family's conversations. Memoora retains ownership of its software, AI systems, and platform. You grant Memoora a limited license to process, store, and deliver your recordings as necessary to provide the service.
Memoora does not use your recordings to train AI models or for any purpose other than providing you with the service.
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Memoora does not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that recordings will always be of high quality. AI-generated transcripts and narratives may contain errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Memoora's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Memoora is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
